Do You Have A Starter Husband?

There are more and more women approaching marriage much like buying a car. That is they want to take marriage for a test drive. What better way to see if marriage is really for you?

Below are some sure fire signs that you are married to a starter husband, so read them carefully. You may want to be sure that he doesn't read this article and take matters into his own hand.

  • You keep someone else as the beneficiary on your 401k. This is a sure fire sign that you do not think that things will work out with him or that you really don't trust him as far as you can throw him

  • When talking about him with friends or family you refer to him as your "current husband". Well if that doesn't say it all nothing will.

  • You have your own personal computer with your own login that he doesn't know about. Obviously you don't want him to see something that you are doing on the internet. Who are you chatting with?

  • The music that makes you sing out loud is songs like "Beyonce's To the Left" or "Goodbye says it all", by Black Hawk.

  • When your first anniversary rolls around you actually encourage him to have a guys night out in hopes to get some personal time for yourself.

  • When you come home from work you are grateful that no one is home so you have the house all to yourself rather then wanting to kick back and relax with him after a hard day at the office.

  • You have more wedding photos of you and the maid of honor framed then the ones of you and him.

  • You keep your own back account separate from his and you split all the bills down the middle. Obviously you are not making this a joint effort.

  • You still pay rent on the apartment you had before you got married.

  • Your happiest times are when you are out hanging with the girls checking out men.

No matter what reason you thought you got married for, if you are doing any of the above then this marriage might not be for you. While many women dram of the day that they get married many women are actually more content to be independent.

They end up getting married for the first time only to find out that it really wasn't what they were looking for. In the olden days it was unheard of for a couple to live together prior to marriage but in today's world it is almost a condition prior to marriage.

This allows both partners to see if this is really what they want and if they can actually live with the other person.

Before you commit to a marriage that you are not ready for, consider the option of living together for a period of time before moving forward to marriage. This will help save broken hearts if things go south.
