When it comes to addiction, a curious little experiment can turn into a dangerous habit in no time. Sometimes people also fall into the hands of addiction in order to get away from life’s tensions. Women who live alone are more likely to develop drug abuse. There is even more of social pressure on women because of which they often try to hide their addiction.

Another fact that has been noticed is that women are more prone to be addicted to prescription drugs than the illegal drugs. They also combine them with alcohol. Similar to men, they also use stimulants like methamphetamine, cocaine, etc.

Women drug abusers are more reluctant to come out and accept help fearing social stigma and shame. Once that fear has been overcome, women can recover from the illness of drug abuse and build a productive and joyful future.
