In order to evaluate whether you are having pear shaped body, find your ratio of hip-waist which you can get by dividing your measurement of waist by the measurement of hip. If the ratio is less than or equal to 0.8 then it shows you are a pear shaped women.

Apple shaped body 

Women, who are having wide torso, having more fat stored around the stomach, abdomen and chest, are said to have apple shape body.

To determine whether you falls under this category find the ratio of the hip-waist. If the ratio is greater than 0.8 then it means you are having apple shaped.
